RMMA Part 150

Noise and Land Use Compatibility Study

Project Update:

June 30, 2026 – Due to a reduction of aircraft operations levels in 2025, the Federal Aviation Administration has asked RMMA to use a different data set than had previously been approved for use in developing the Noise Exposure Maps. The input data for the Aviation Environmental Design Tool, which is the noise model required by the FAA, is being updated for resubmittal to the FAA for approval. The next Open House is anticipated in early fall 2026. The overall project schedule remains unchanged.

Welcome

WHAT IS IT?

The Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport Part 150 Noise Study is a valuable and voluntary initiative aimed at understanding and mitigating aircraft noise on the surrounding community. Through comprehensive data collection, community involvement, and the development of effective mitigation strategies—the Part 150 Noise Study will serve as a foundation for ensuring balance between the benefits of aviation and the quality of life for local residents.

This website will serve as an information hub for the project. Please refer back to access the latest information, learn where we are in the process, and submit your comments.
